Call Meeting to Order:  Mayor Lennie Smith called the council meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Roll Call:  Terry Morrison, Don Smith, and Doug Weaver. Carol Cerqua arrived at 7:03. Absent:  Ted Schultz
Also present: Lori Smith, city clerk.

Inquiries from the Community: Salted the area by the mailboxes on Oakland Drive.

Approval of Minutes:  Weaver moved to approve the minutes of the January 18, 2016, meeting. Don Smith seconded.  Ayes:  All.

Treasurer’s Report:  Morrison moved to approve the January report as submitted. Cerqua seconded. Ayes:  All.

Payment of Bills:  Weaver moved to approve payment of the bills as submitted.  Cerqua seconded.  Ayes:  All.

Old Business                    

Budget Hearing: Weaver made a motion to present the budget at a public hearing before the March14 meeting, as advised.  Morrison seconded.  Ayes:  All.

Ordinances and issues:  Nothing new to report.

Council Member responsibilities:  Tabled until March meeting.

Mowing:  Staying with maintenance.

Housing Question:  Question has been rescinded.

Spring Clean Up and Garage Sale Days: Will be announced in newsletter next month.

Sand for roads:  Make sure to have sand on curves on Fore Seasons Drive. Will contact Andy Heishman.

New Business

ECIC Meeting:  ECIC meeting will be held in Pella on March 3. No interest in attending.

Road Repair priorities:  Planning and Zoning had originally noted four priorities in 2013. Have addressed one project in 2015.  Mayor Smith encouraged council members to drive around the community to observe road needs.

We Care After Prom Donation Request:  Weaver made a motion to donate $50 to the We Care fund. Don Smith seconded. Ayes:  All.

Council Report:  None.

Clerk Report:   Weaver made a motion to apply up to $150 for the community Easter Egg Hunt, held on Saturday, March 26, at 2 p.m. in the park. Don Smith seconded.  Ayes:  All

Maintenance Report:  None

Adjournment: Schultz moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:15 p.m.  Weaver seconded.  Ayes:  All.
