Call Meeting to Order: Mayor Pro Tem Ted Schultz called the council
meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Roll Call: Barb Arthur, Ted
Schultz, and Doug Weaver. Joyce Halblom arrived
at 7:11. Absent: Sara Pfennigs
Also present: Lori Smith, city clerk

Approval of Minutes:
Arthur moved to approve the minutes of the October
12, 2015, meeting. Weaver seconded. Ayes:

Treasurer’s Report:

Mayor’s Opening
Address and Report: ECIC meeting
will meet at the clubhouse on Thursday, November 12. Halblom, Schultz and Smith are registered to
attend.
Old Business
Ordinances
and issues: Potential
witnesses have been sent to lawyers.
They will meet in the near future.
More progress to report at next month's meeting.
Elections: Mayor Smith and Ted Schultz were re-elected. Newly elected council members are Terry
Morrison and Carol Cerqua. There was a seven-way tie to fill the
remainder of the term vacated by Roger Fisher, which is currently held by Sarah
Pfennigs. The Jasper Co. Auditor will canvass to choose a candidate on Tuesday,
November 10.
Annual Financial
Report: The city clerk
reviewed the Annual Financial Report with the council. Weaver moved to approve the report and Arthur
seconded. The clerk will upload the report to the state auditor before December
1.
Potential FY17
Budget Items: Focus on roads
next year.
Lake
Grants: Halblom would
like to continue to pursue grants on dredging and lake maintenance.
New Business
Newsletter:
Include holiday party information, snow
removal information and election results.
Holiday
Party: Will include information in newsletter. Clerk will purchase supplies and gift cards
as prize drawings. It was decided to
have each household sign up at the party, rather than individually.
City
Directories: Will ask residents to email the clerk with
contact information in newsletters. Need
to ask for email addresses to set up distribution list to make it easier to
contact citizens.
Council Report:
None
Clerk Report: The
Annual Financial Report needs to be uploaded by December 1. Will be working on newsletter and
directories. Also if council members are
not going to attend the December meeting, please let the city clerk know.
Maintenance Report:
None
