Call Meeting to Order: Mayor Smith called the council meeting
to order at 7:00 p.m.
Roll Call: Barb Arthur, Ted
Schultz, and Doug Weaver. Absent: Sarah Pfennigs and Joyce Halblom
Also present: Terry Hintz, Terry Morrison and Lori Smith, city clerk
Inquiries from the Community: End of Fore Seasons Drive is becoming cracked and uneven. Will contact Cessford
again.
Approval of Minutes:
Schultz moved to approve the minutes of the August
10, 2015, meeting. Arthur seconded. Ayes:
All.
Treasurer’s Report:
Arthur
moved to approve the August report as submitted. Weaver seconded. Ayes: All.

Mayor’s Opening
Address and Report: Mayor is taking
another position, and will have more limited availability. Mayor Smith also announced that this upcoming
term will be his last. Council members
are encouraged to put feelers out for interest in the position.
Old Business
Sewer
Subsidy: Terry Hintz
asked the council to reconsider ending the sewer subsidy at year-end. Weaver made a motion to rescind the decision
to end the sewer subsidy. Schultz seconded.
Arthur responded nay. Motion
carried.
Easement and
Ordinances: No further infractions have been noted. The rope has been taken down on the drive
from Oakland Drive. Citizens are
encouraged not to use this drive as of yet. Mayor updated the council on
upcoming legal issues. Also discussed the
possibility of assisting with survey costs and determining other surveying
issues. Decided to table the issue until
a special meeting is held with the surveyor present.
FEMA Projects: All major projects have been
completed. Will review equipment costs
to include in the costs and look at other safety-related items.
Newsletter: Reviewed copy and will send out later
this month.
Elections: Candidate papers are due to the county
auditor by Thursday, September 17.
Road
Repair: Will continue to
contact Cessford about road repairs.
Yield
Signs: Will
be replacing the yield signs by Fore Seasons Drive
will be replaced by stop signs soon
ECIC
Meeting: Chose
not to attend.
Ash
Borer: Schultz
had contact with the DNR to set up a time to review city's trees.
New Business
Street Financial
Report: Weaver
made a motion to accept the 2015 Street Financial Report, Resolution 16-3. Schultz seconded. Ayes:
All.
Holiday
Dates: Discussed
possible dates for the community Christmas party at the clubhouse. Schultz made a motion to hold the Christmas
Party on Sunday, December 13, from 2-4 p.m. at the Clubhouse (pending
availability), and budget up to $150 for the event. Weaver seconded. Ayes:
All.
Council Report:
None.
Clerk Report: None.
Maintenance Report:
Cut
trees along Eagle Drive and put rock along the edges of Fore
Seasons Drive.
Adjournment: Schultz moved to adjourn the meeting
at 8:04 p.m. Arthur seconded. Ayes:
